On July 23rd, P3 Utah toured Basil & Rose, a garden boutique located in Bountiful, with one of the owners, Buena Tomalino, where we learned how they are implementing the triple-bottom line. We saw a wide variety of items which included an impressive amount from local Utah artists and businesses as well as exclusively organic gardening products. Buena also provides classes on how to start organic gardening and lessen the impact of your garden on the local environment at Basil & Rose. After our tour of the store, we took a wonderful, relaxing, and informative herb tour at the mouth of Mueller Canyon. We tried many different local plants like serviceberries and learned of the many plants and herbs available in the natural environment around Utah.
